WCAA is pleased to announce the return of the Tampa Tribe Travel Lacrosse program. Replacing the Pasco Lions, Tampa Tribe is our founding travel program in Wesley Chapel with a rich history and a name that represents the communities in which our players reside. We are extending our reach to surrounding communities this summer to offer an elevated competitive travel program for those players who would like to take their game to the next level.

All players 12U and above are required to participate in one of the tryout dates listed.

Interested In Our Travel Team?

Tampa Tribe is our local competitive lacrosse program that provides team play for girls and boys, middle school through high school and attends local and out of state tournaments. Teams typically practice three times a  week and receive comprehensive lacrosse conditioning and instruction.

FALL TRIBE LACROSSE TEAMS & TOURNAMENT BREAKDOWN

Players with a fully paid registration will have the cost of the Academy applied to the cost of either their Fall Tribe Registration or their Warrior Rec Registration in the amount of $100 per paid clinic. Register for all three and receive up to a $300 discount!

LACROSSE, THE FASTEST GAME ON TWO FEET!

Lacrosse, the fastest-growing team sport in the country, combines some of the best aspects of other sports into one sport, allowing players of all sizes and skill sets the ability to contribute.

The fundamental concepts of men’s and women’s lacrosse are the same – players try to score goals by using a stick, which features a plastic or wooden head with netting at the end, to shoot a ball into the goal. The are various rule differences between men’s and women’s lacrosse which makes each game unique.

About US Lacrosse
US Lacrosse is the national governing body of men’s and women’s lacrosse, primarily serving the youth game. It provides a leadership role in virtually every aspect of the game, boasts 64 chapters throughout the United States, and offers programs and services to inspire participation while protecting the integrity of the sport.

Membership & Insurance
All WCAA Lacrosse players must have a current US Lacrosse membership. ($25 under 15 years; $35 high school)

US Lacrosse partners with Bollinger Insurance to provide exclusive on-the-field coverage for all US Lacrosse members. In addition, US Lacrosse and Bollinger provide extensive Risk Management information that you need to protect your players and stay safe on and off the field. More about the insurance here.

WCAA MISSION STATEMENT:

This Association was formed and exists to provide for the community of Wesley Chapel, Pasco County and surrounding areas quality sports programs, including, but not limited to; soccer, flag football, tackle football, lacrosse, basketball, cheerleading, baseball and softball. The purpose is also to involve as many members of the community as possible in affiliation with nationally recognized sports programs, and to develop and encourage sportsmanship among its members and players for the betterment of their physical and social well-being.
