Meet Our Coaches

Check out our coaches biographies to learn more about our experienced and passionate coaches. Our coaches all share a love for the game of lacrosse, and are dedicated to improving each of our players.

Coach Craig Havemann enjoyed a 25 plus year career working in commercial finance while rising to the executive level and is no stranger to being in a leadership/mentoring role.  Coach’s daughter started to play lacrosse approximately 8 years ago and despite never playing lacrosse himself, it wasn’t long after that coach Havemann became an assistant coach for Mike Diaz under the club team Wesley Chapel Wildcats.  This was a time when lacrosse was not a sanctioned sport in the Hillsborough or Pasco, or any surrounding county High Schools, so club was the only option. The Wildcats enjoyed many winning seasons under coach Diaz and made it to the championship game against Plant (still club back then), but lost in a close heartbreaker.  Coach Havemann stayed on continuing to learn from Coach Diaz. The next year we won the championship and for the next four years after that went undefeated winning the championship each year.

Each year after the spring club season was over, Coach Havemann assisted Coach Diaz first under the Tampa Tribe and then later under the Pasco Lions.  Each season the team enjoying either winning each tournament entered or being in the championship.

Coach Havemann took over as Head Coach of the Wiregrass Ranch HS team in 2018 which was the first year as an officially sanctioned team under the FHSAA.  The team made it to district playoffs in its first year as a new team. Following that, Coach took over as the Girls Head Coach of the travel team Tampa Tribe.  In our first summer back as a team we played in three tournaments making it to the Semi-Finals in each tournament with an overall record of 12-5.

Coach teaches a never quit, never give up positive attitude.  If you are willing to learn and push beyond what you think you can do under a positive environment, Coach Havemann is the right coach for you.
